a little about me

I am a writer and creative director specializing in fashion, beauty, technology, and telling great stories.

I got my start at Barneys New York (RIP) in the advertising department where we had several outside clients including the legendary hotelier Ian Schrager. From there, I went on to work for many, many fashion and beauty houses. I named and conceptualized the fragrances CK One and Gucci Envy, among others. And I was the originator of the brand voices for the Glacier family of waters – Smart Water and Vitamin Water.

I took a break from advertising to produce a feature film that made it to competition in Cannes. I spent some time writing magazine features, notably a series on unsung California artists that appeared in C Magazine. And I wrote a pop culture and fashion column for the LA Times called The Nines.

When I went back to advertising, I began again to create commercial campaigns and films, working both on the brand side and agency side.

I am currently developing several television shows and working on personal projects in my free time. If you want to know anything about cults, I can chat with you for days.

I live in Los Angeles with my Blue Picardy Spaniel, Cyrus.
